Xpedioair is committed to full fee transparency. This page explains every fee and tax that may appear on your final charge, including third-party airline fees, government taxes, and Xpedioair's own service fee. There are no hidden charges — all costs are displayed before you pay.
💲 Xpedioair Service Fee
Xpedioair charges a flat specialist service fee of $39.99 per request, regardless of the airline or type of change. This fee covers:
- U.S.-based specialist agent time and expertise
- Direct airline liaison and hold-time management
- Change request processing and confirmation delivery
- Follow-up support if the airline requires additional documentation
Our service fee is refundable if the airline is unable to fulfill your requested change. See our Refund Policy for details.
✈️ Airline-Imposed Fees
In addition to Xpedioair's service fee, airlines may charge their own change, correction, or cancellation fees. These fees are set entirely by the airline and are beyond Xpedioair's control. We display the maximum possible fee for your airline and change type on the pricing review page.
Actual airline fees may be lower based on:
- Your fare class (refundable vs. non-refundable, Basic Economy vs. Main Cabin)
- When the change is made (within 24 hours of booking = DOT free cancellation window)
- The airline's current waiver policies (many have eliminated change fees for main cabin)
- Whether you have elite status with the airline
- The nature of the change (minor name correction vs. full itinerary change)

🏛️ Government Taxes & Surcharges
When airlines process fare changes, certain government-imposed taxes and surcharges may apply to the fare difference. These are set by the federal government and airport authorities and are outside Xpedioair's and the airline's control. Common taxes include:
- Federal Excise Tax: 7.5% of the base fare (domestic U.S. flights)
- TSA Security Fee: $5.60 per one-way trip segment
- Passenger Facility Charge (PFC): Up to $4.50 per enplanement
- Segment Fee: $4.80 per flight segment
These taxes apply only to the fare difference on a change, not to Xpedioair's flat service fee. Xpedioair's $39.99 fee is not subject to airline-collected taxes.
📋 Fee Disclosure Process
Xpedioair follows a strict fee transparency process:
- Submit request: You provide your booking and contact details at no cost
- Review pricing: You see the maximum possible airline fee + Xpedioair's $39.99 fee before any payment is required
- Authorize payment: You choose to proceed only after reviewing the breakdown
- Final charge: You are charged the amount shown. If the actual airline fee is lower, any difference is automatically adjusted before your card is charged.
You will never be charged more than the amount displayed on the pricing review page.
